My life in the Scottish Borders, observing nature
and wildlife as well as my life-long love of animals,
has inspired me to paint their portraits. I
sometimes draw upon my notes on Scottish life
to add background interest. I studied fine art at
the University of Art in Philadelphia where I
received a BFA.

My work is influenced by Edwin Landseer,
George Stubbs and Andrew Wyeth.

Getting started is easy. I work from photographs
and will need 2 or 3 good ones. I like knowing
little details about your pet (or loved one)
because I may be able to incorporate them into
the portrait. Give me a call and we will go from there.
